Exhibition 2013
I've just confirmed with Gallery Director, Sandra McMahon from Tamworth Regional Gallery, my show for late November 2013. We first talked about this in 2010. It sounds like a long way off, but galleries, particularly Regional Galleries, work quite far in advance. I exhibited extensively with Regional Galleries in the 1990's and it was a truly wonderful experience. They are very professional and respectful with art and artists. So I am really looking forward to this. Plus it's in my hometown, even better!

I'm turning conversation, creativity and shopping into an art! Indulge yourself with a unique, intimate and fun shopping experience or a fun workshop.
Visit the Loft Shop and Downstairs Gallery with up to eight of your friends. Chat and catch up while enjoying coffee, tea or a cold drink and the cake, slice or biscuits of the week, or champagne, wine and a platter. Take in the view to the hills and out to Manilla from the loft or out on its delightful balcony. Browse through the shop and gallery at your leisure before you make your purchases. I'll be happy to take you for a tour of the artwork throughout the gallery and share stories of the works with you. $12.00 per person or complimentary with purchases over $60.
You don't need any experience or expertise to have fun and be playful with art, or to make an artwork that you can hang proudly on your wall. Let me bring out the creativity in you and show you how much you can enjoy artmaking. At the moment I'm offering a really fun workshop on the 17th and again 24th of March. Create an original canvas while learning the basics of design and layering.
Introducing....
Introducing Full On Furniture. I've always had an interest in renovating secondhand furniture and I've done quite a bit in the past. My furniture is not for the faint hearted. It is unique and quirky and every piece is a'one off' original, design. If you want traditional or conservative, shop at Harvey Norman! If you want a piece that shows your personality in a playful way, then purchase one of my refurbished pieces of furniture from the online shop or from the Loft Shop here in Tamworth. I will be gradually doing up furniture in between my paintings, drawings and commissions so you will need to keep your eye out for new pieces as I add them.
From the Loft
I have been busy making new backgrounds for the pages on the website. I love a change and it's a lot of fun combining backgounds and my little characters and other objects to make the new 'rooms' in my little house down the forest path. It's just like redecorating. I hope viewers to the website enjoy them! I'm also working to develop my workshop and shopping indulgence packages that will be available very soon, and exploring new ideas for giftware for the Loft Shop. You know you are always welcome in the Gallery, Studio and Loft Shop and look out for my Aleyce range at Aleyce Simmonds Show during Country Music here in Tamworth.

2012 will see some changes for me. I have left teaching and have made a little shop in my loft studio. Now you can come and enjoy a glass of bubbly or a cup of coffee and browse through my artwork, prints, gifts and jewellery anytime. I will also be giving workshops, private lessons and HSC tutoring. I'm hoping to add a booking and payment system to the website so look for some changes there as well. I'm looking forward to an exciting year of art!

Also I now have Gift Certificates available online to purchase. These start at $50 and you can add as many as you would like. So you can give $50, $100, $150 and so on. DYI Exhibition
Here are some images taken by my friend Tristan of my little DYI Exhibition here at home on Dec 3. Over 90 people came to look and purchase my original artwork, prints, gifts and jewellery. Most popped upstairs for a peek into the studio and to meet Alphonse the parrot and to see the view from my deck. If you would like to see all the images from the day head to my Facebook page. Prints sold very well, as well as my new little oil paintings from the Precious series. These are so affordable and make wonderful Christmas gifts. Clients are also beginning to commission these tiny works as well. So if you would like one tailored to you, don't hesitate to contact me. There is still time to order gifts, jewellery and prints before Christmas but don't wait too much longer.
