It's now time to settle to working in earnest on my body of work to be exhibited later in 2014. The process so far has involved a good deal of thought, a great deal of visual research, making sketches, some very rough and others more developed, and some painting. I have made some small experimental sculptures as well. With the working title 'Parklands' the scene is set within formal gardens. Females, aloof, eccentric, and lavishly attired, promenade and relax in a landscape of topiary trees, manicured grass, lily pools and garden architecture. It 's Gainsborough, Watteau and Boucher meets Marie Larkin (I hope)!
